LINDA LACY FILES PREMISES LIABILITY LAWSUIT FOLLOWING FALL AT TGH IMAGING

Tampa, Fla. – September 23, 2026 – Linda Lacy has filed a premises liability lawsuit in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in and for Pasco County, Florida, against Florida Health Sciences Center, Inc., doing business as Tampa General Hospital, and Tower Imaging LLC, doing business as TGH Imaging.

According to the complaint, Ms. Lacy visited the TGH Imaging facility at 5539 Marine Parkway in New Port Richey on September 24, 2024, for scheduled imaging services. The lawsuit alleges that the restroom lights were not functioning, leaving the restroom dark. As Ms. Lacy entered the restroom and attempted to close and lock the door, she allegedly lost her balance and fell forward.

The complaint further alleges that Ms. Lacy struck the left side of her head and her left wrist during the fall. It states that TGH Imaging personnel prepared an incident report, completed her scheduled imaging procedure, and discharged her. Ms. Lacy later sought emergency medical evaluation because of increasing pain.

The lawsuit alleges that the defendants failed to reasonably maintain the restroom and its lighting, failed to timely identify and correct the nonfunctioning lights, and failed to warn visitors of the dark restroom condition. Ms. Lacy seeks damages for her alleged injuries, including medical expenses, pain and suffering, disability, physical impairment, mental anguish, inconvenience, and loss of enjoyment of life.

“Businesses that invite patients onto their property have a responsibility to keep those premises reasonably safe,” said Gil Sanchez, counsel for Linda Lacy. “This lawsuit seeks accountability for the unsafe condition alleged in the complaint and fair compensation for Ms. Lacy’s injuries.”

Ms. Lacy has requested a jury trial. The allegations in the complaint are claims that must be proven in court; the defendants have the right to respond to the allegations.
